Session Outline

A short briefing session on the University’s staff development fund for colleagues who facilitate applications from academic partner colleges or executive office departments and individuals interested in knowing more about how the fund contributes to the course fees of accredited programmes of study.  The session will provide information on the funding criteria; the application process and how funding contributions can link to other professional development and recognition activities supported by the LTA.

Ann Tilbury

Ann is a member of the university Learning and Teaching Academy (LTA) and leads on a range of professional development opportunities including the university’s engagement with the Advance HE Aurora leadership development programme for women; the embedding of the graduate attributes and the overseeing of the staff development fund.  Prior to joining the LTA Ann worked as the Academic Skills Developer for the Educational Development Unit.  Ann is interested in academic development and leadership theory and practice. She completed a master’s in leadership and Management in 2015 and a Post Graduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Tertiary Education in 2016. She is a Chartered member of the CIPD, a Senior Fellow of the HEA and a Fellow of SEDA.  She is a keen runnerroad and mountain bike cyclist.
