Project title: The Origins and History of Distilling and Whisky Production in the Scottish Highlands and Islands: An Historical and Archaeological Approach.

His passion for whisky comes from working for more than a decade in the Highland whisky industry near Loch Ness and he became interested in archaeology whilst studying anthropology at the University of Aberdeen.

Darroch went on to study an MLITT in Archaeological studies with UHI.
